Have you been told you’re too much?

    January 18, 2021 / 0 Comments

What I want to suggest is that whatever your adjective of "too much" is, this is the gift God has placed inside you for the benefit of the world. The world needs your "too much", but it is a gift that needs to be led by the Holy Spirit.

    Can Satan Read My Mind?

    November 13, 2020 / 0 Comments

There is no way to out think Satan. Although, we can go to war with him. We want to walk around him but that just isn't an option in this life. We are told to be bold and make a stand against the devil.

If it Hadn’t Been for the Lord

    September 5, 2020 / 0 Comments

I recently read Psalm 124 and was drawn to the words and the style of this particular Psalm. It reminded me of a season in my life and the Lord had walked with me every step. The line “If it had not been for the Lord” is a worthy statement to consider and give some thought. What would your life or a season in your life look like without the Lord? Where would you be without heeding His direction? This is what David says of the Lord in Psalm 124: If it had not been the Lord who was on our side—    let Israel now say—2 if it had not been the Lord who was on…

Leading Your Community to Conversations of Racial Injustice

My friend asked the questions: What would Jesus do in this time? How would Jesus respond to the marginalized? I couldn't help but remember Jesus MANY interactions with the marginalized and communities who were out casts. I can't help but think of how Jesus stepped into the uncomfortable spaces and led the way

    Psalms on Slow-Mo

    May 15, 2020 / 1 Comment

All throughout my life I have read a Psalm here or there. I have looked up Psalms to suit my mood or current life situation. But one thing I have never done was to go one by one through the Psalms. At the beginning of the year I decided to slow down and read through the Psalms from the beginning. My husband and I had prayer on our hearts in a big way and a felt that praying Scripture was missing. As we were beginning to make scripture prayer a routine we found ourselves in Psalms a lot. For my birthday an awesome friend gifted me some lovely new highlighters…

    Render a New Song

    March 26, 2020 / 10 Comments

What sin have you ignored, justified, or hidden? The time is NOW to bring it to the Light. No more 'I am sorry, I won't do it again' and then choosing that sin again when temptation feels crushing. The time to render our hearts to the Lord is NOW. He is gracious and slow to anger - abounding in steadfast love. That is your King.

As I prayed and looked back on the last few months and considered some things I feel the Lord has been bring me to, I realized what my word was going to be. I was actually reading a book I got for my birthday and the word felt like it jumped off the page. I knew then that it was my word.
