Men’s Christmas Gift Guide
Men! They are so hard to buy for, am I right? I have tried various different gifts for my husband over the years and I feel like I just haven’t hit home. To be honest, we aren’t big on giving each other gifts anyways so it’s kind of okay. We would rather save our money and go out on a nice date!
But, that doesn’t get me off the hook with holiday gift buying! We are always together with my in-laws and so we like to bring gifts for the kids and adults for Christmas. I have found two big winners when it comes to gifts for my father-in-law and brother-in-law. Games and books!! If you are curious about some games we have enjoyed comment and I will share our favorites but for now I want to focus on books. This year I decided I to gift books for everyone – Check out my picks for women and kiddos! Here are some books the guys in my life have enjoyed!
Men’s Holiday Gift Guide
+ Songs of Praise by Tim Keller
If you are a Tim Keller fan you already know you want this one! If not, they let me tell you why you want it! Kelly is great at packing a lot into a single paragraph! His devotions are all centered around Psalms. He walks us through Psalms in a year and even though the devotions are small, they are meaty. It gives you a lot to meditate on. I would maybe not suggest this for a new believer as it can be a little wordy but maybe a great suggestion for a long time believer in a busy season of life.
+ New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp
This is a beautiful and hardy devotional. It is rich and has sweet depth for each day of the year. If you haven’t something from PDT you are missing out!! His book Parenting is fantastic!
+ The Insanity of God by Nik Ripkin
My husband read this book and then begged me to read it. Nik’s story of discovering God overseas and how people around the globe view persecution. This is a true story that you will not be able to put down!
+ Gospel Treason by Brad Bigney
This book was transformative in my husband and I’s spiritual journey! We heard Brad speak at a biblical counseling conference and we were the first in line to snag his book. My husband actually hugged Brad when he returned the next year *insert fits of laughter*! He was so blessed by his book he had to meet him and hug him, this was hands down the most awkward moment of my life!
+ Emotional Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero
My husband ans I read this book with our small group a few years ago and we loved this random treasure! We have applied many truths from this book and I even broke down one of my favorites sections in this post: A Moment in His Courts!
+ Humility True Greatness by C.J. Mahaney
This has been a book my husband is constantly going back to during different times in his life. Mahaney makes the case for how important it is to rage war against pride! This is super quality book, with a message for each one of us!
+ Living by the Book by Howard and William Hendricks
Living by the Book is a classic book for learning how to study the Bible more effectively! It gives an in depth look at how and why we study God’s word!

Pinning this! Giving books as gifts is a great idea! I plan on doing this with my nieces and nephews, and it’s smart to do it for men as well.
